Michael Brewer – Founder and CEO
Michael is an experienced divorce attorney who has handled hundreds of divorce cases in both Nebraska and Iowa and who has also published many articles in The Nebraska Lawyer. In May 2023, he realized there has got to be a better way to handle the divorce case document preparation process (it only took him a short 16 years to realize this). Therefore, to make the highly stressful situation for all involved less stressful, DivorceTech was born.
After working on the idea, the business, and a prototype for several months, Michael retired as a divorce attorney in February 2024 to pursue DivorceTech full-time, and shortly thereafter, DivorceTech was accepted by the NMotion powered by gener8tor 12-week startup accelerator. Michael’s participation in the NMotion/gener8tor accelerator was extremely helpful to DivorceTech through helping him define and grow the business, scale the product, and through receiving ongoing mentorship, advice, and invaluable networking opportunities.
